Before choosing a backup plan you need to know where each kind of data lives.
Orders, customer accounts and addresses are database-only; a file backup will not recover them.
Product definitions and stock levels are in the database, their images on disk.
Translations and currency configuration live in the database — losing them makes the store unusable.
Generated invoices exist both in the database and as files; you need both to reconstruct them.
Changes made to a theme live on disk and can be lost during a version upgrade.
Installed module settings are database-stored; reinstalling a module does not restore them.

The module needs PHP 7.1 or newer (8.1+ recommended) — virtually every PrestaShop installation qualifies. On the database side MySQL and MariaDB are supported: PrestaShop runs on MySQL/MariaDB, so it falls within the supported scope.
The module is installed as an independent folder in your web root. It does not touch PrestaShop core files and is not installed as a theme, plugin or extension — so PrestaShop updates never break your backups.
