Before choosing a backup plan you need to know where each kind of data lives.
Order records, payment status and customer addresses are database-only; a file backup will not recover them.
Product data and stock levels are in the database, images under image/. Both must be backed up.

The module needs PHP 7.1 or newer (8.1+ recommended) — virtually every OpenCart installation qualifies. On the database side MySQL and MariaDB are supported: OpenCart runs on MySQL/MariaDB, so it falls within the supported scope.
The module is installed as an independent folder in your web root. It does not touch OpenCart core files and is not installed as a theme, plugin or extension — so OpenCart updates never break your backups.
