OpenCart Backup

Back Up Your OpenCart Site Automatically
Files · Database · Email — One Module

In an OpenCart store, orders, customers and stock live in the database while product images sit on the filesystem. Yedekalma packages both on your own server, encrypts them and sends them straight to your cloud storage. No extension to install, no database password to share.

Specific to OpenCart

What Do You Actually Lose on a OpenCart Site?

Before choosing a backup plan you need to know where each kind of data lives.

🛒

Orders

Order records, payment status and customer addresses are database-only; a file backup will not recover them.

📦

Products and stock

Product data and stock levels are in the database, images under image/. Both must be backed up.

🎟

Coupons

Coupon definitions and usage counters roll back with the database — the same coupon can be redeemed twice.

🧩

Extension settings

Extension configuration lives in the database; reinstalling an extension does not restore its settings.

🌐

Multi-store setups

If you run several storefronts from one installation they share a database — partial loss affects all of them.

⚖️

Legal records

Order and invoice retention is a legal obligation, not just good practice.

Highlights

What You Get with OpenCart Backup

🔐

We never see your passwords

The module runs on your own server. Your database and FTP credentials are never sent to our panel.

☁️

Straight to your own cloud

Backups go directly to Google Drive, Amazon S3 and S3-compatible services, Dropbox, OneDrive, Yandex.Disk — or a Receiver Module on your own server. They never pass through us.

Incremental transfers

Only changed files, changed tables and new emails are transferred. How it works.

↩️

One-click restore

Restore from the panel. When moving to a different server, connection settings are rewritten for you.

🦠

Malware scanning

File, database and email backups are scanned for malicious content.

🔒

Immutable copies

S3 Object Lock keeps a copy nothing can delete. Learn more.

Technical requirements for OpenCart

The module needs PHP 7.0 or newer — virtually every OpenCart installation qualifies. On the database side MySQL and MariaDB are supported: OpenCart already uses MySQL, so no extra configuration is required.

The module is installed as an independent folder in your web root. It does not touch OpenCart core files and is not installed as a theme, plugin or extension — so OpenCart updates never break your backups.

FAQ

OpenCart Backup — Frequently Asked Questions

No. Nothing is installed in the OpenCart admin. The module is uploaded as an independent folder in your site root and runs from there, so OpenCart version upgrades never disturb your backup setup.
Daily is usually not enough for a store taking orders, because everything between two backups is lost. A common setup is hourly database backups and daily file backups. Since each component has its own schedule, you can configure this precisely.
Yes, files and database are restored together. If you are moving to a different server or database name you can remap the target during restore, and your configuration file connection details are updated accordingly.
Yes. The file component covers everything in your web root, including the image folder. You can exclude specific folders if you want to keep backups smaller.
No. There is no size tier in the pricing model; the amount depends only on the backup frequency you choose. No storage fee is charged either, because backups go to your own cloud space.
